WOW Women of Wrestling 2/3/2024 Season 4, Episode 21

Reina del Rey and Wrecking Ball do a promo. They said they only want to listen to themselves talk. Reina said they are one of the best tag teams in WOW. Reina said they have shown that they deserve a shot at the WOW tag titles. The Tonga Twins come out. The Twins say they beat them before and will do it again and again. They say they can beat them right now and the heels run out.

They talk about the trios tournament and say surprises will happen.

WOW Trios Tournament - Tormenta and Las Bandidas (Sylvia Sanchez and Vivian Rivera) vs Keita Rush and The Mighty Mights (Sugar and Spice)

They said there was nothing in the rules stopping The Mighty Mights from getting a different partner and re-entering the tournament (after being eliminated), so they did. Dave said this is what he meant when he said it was an ever-flowing tournament.

Rush takes down Sanchez. Rush flips out of a wristlock using the ropes and armdrags her. Rush dropkicks her then flying headscissors Rivera. Spice irish whips Rivera then 2nd rope flipping armdrags her. Spice flying headscissors Tormenta then Sugar does the same thing to Tormenta. Sugar toyota rolls Tormenta then Sanchez hair throws Sugar. Spice takes a triple team out of the gori special.

Tormenta boots Rush and bangs her head off the turnbuckles. Rush takes corner attacks then headscissors Tormenta out of the corner. Sanchez spinning side slams Sugar. Rivera gets caught up top and Spice top rope hurircanrana's her. Rush dropkicks Tormenta. Rush triangles Tormenta but it gets broken up.

Sugar takes a double suplex then Tormenta top rope meteora's Sugar to win it.

It was a decent opener here with them keeping this one moving. I really liked Tormenta's top rope meteora. The Mighty Mights getting a 2nd chance to be in this was bogus though since they had already lost. My guess is that they ran out of bodies or something else happened and they had to sub them in.

Sofia Lopez gets the mic after. She said she has been with WOW for 12 years and stays loyal to the sport. Las Bandidas say they will do whatever it takes and will take out all the WOW superheroes. Tormenta talks in spanish.

Team Spirit tell Coach Campanelli that they have amazing news. They then bring in Sasha Sparks. Ariel said Coach is always telling her to listen to her. Pep Riley said they recruited her for trios tournament and now Coach can focus on coaching them full time. Sasha said she's excite to be part of Team Spirit and is excited to learn from her. Pep said they will dominate all of the other teams with Coach's help. Coach said she thinks someone forgot who the coach is and walks out, saying it's nice to meet Sasha.

Rebel Haze and Fury talk in the back. Fury gives her a guitar pick and says it's a little "heavy metal good luck". Fury says to show Gloria Glitter what rock and roll is all about. Rebel yells, "rock on". Rebel is a riot and was really funny here.

They lock up and Gloria takes her down. Gloria hits knees to the body. Rebel hits armdrags then slams her. Rebel jumps over her while she is laying down and sentons her. Gloria hits boots then Rebel step up enzugiri's her. Rebel dropkicks her then ends up on the ropes. Gloria double knees her in the back while she is there. Gloria uses Rebel's back as a stair stepper.

Gloria hits a knee and jawbreaker. Rebel fights off a sharpshooter and Gloria boots her in the chest. Rebel trips Gloria then crabs her. Gloria ropebreaks. Rebel lariats her then throws her off the fireman's carry. Rebel sliding lariats her for 2.

Gloria's head is banged off the buckles then she diving elbows her off the top for 2. Gloria thinks she has it won then Rebel rolls her up and wins it.

It was shorter one and Gloria had a couple of small botches here. 

Coach Campanelli goes up to Gloria Glitter in the back. Gloria said she should have won. Coach said she celebrated too soon and Gloria says she is right. Coach says she has potential and has to keep her eyes on the prize. Coach said with more Coach tips, she might get that prize. Gloria thanks her.

Samantha Smart comes out and said she has important news tonight. She said her team has an over-abundance of dominance and she will fix it. She said we will have WOW's first ever "Leader of the Pack" match to determine who will be second in command to the IQ Superior. She said it will solidify the chain of command in her team and catapult them into future success.

Leader of the Pack Match - The Disciplinarian vs The Classmaster vs G.I. Jane

The Disciplinarian = Dis

Dis nails Jane from behind then Jake boots her. Class boots Jane then legdrops her. Jane hits a nice slam on Class. Jane pushes Dis then Dis lariats her. Dis boots Jane in the corner then gordbusters her.

Dis climbs on Class' back with a sleeper then Class backs her up in the corner. Jane running knees Dis and talks trash. Class corner spears Dis then Jane tornado ddt's Class for the win. GI Jane is now the second in command.

It was short but fun. It was neat to see the heels go at it for a change. I wish it would have gotten more time.

Jane gets nailed from behind after by both opponents then Jane double lariats them. Samantha Smart shockingly cheers all of this on.

Miami's Sweet Heat do a promo. They say David McLane says they know they are money and they are tired of The Hillbillies (The Mother Truckers) getting all of the chances around here. They said they need to take the big rig to the local mechanic's shop and put the mudflaps over their mouths and stop talking smack. MSH said they deserve to be on the other side of the guard rail where they started. 

The Mother Truckers talk in the back. Holly said they had the four-way won then The Fab Four hit them with mirrors. Holly said every time they are in line to win the titles, someone interferes. Holly said let's take it Tennessee style next week and put them in a mudhole. Betty calls Penelope Pink "Stinky Pinky" and say The Fabulous Four have 5 members (which they do if you count Lana Starr). Holly says it's no rules next week and has two words for them - "honk honk". The Mother Truckers are great promos and are so good at these characters.

The Tonga Twins are mad in the back and want The Last Call.

Next week is Abilene Maverick vs Princess Aussie for the WOW Title.

WOW Tag Titles - The Tonga Twins vs The Last Call (Reina del Rey and Wrecking Ball)

 The Twins rush the ring and pounds on the heels. Reina gets headbutted on the apron and Ball takes a sandwich body block. Ball is thrown into the buckles and snapmared for 2. Ball takes a headbutt then a 2 person double chop. Ball takes corner hip attacks. Reina grabs Kaoz and pulls her down over the 2nd rope. Reina clubs on Kaoz then knees her against the 2nd rope.

Ball and Reina hit corner lariats, then Kaoz takes a corner meteora. Ball clubs on Kaoz then Kaoz suplexes her. Kona is tagged in and hits chops and boots on Reina. Reina takes a double superkick. Ball takes the tonga twist and Reina takes a double lariat. Reina is then pinned.

It was short, sweet and to the point. Nothing wrong with this one though I wish it would have been longer. They all fought to start, the Twins were beat up for a bit and then they made their comeback to win it.

Overall thoughts: A fun show as usual. Nothing must see, but the opener, semi-main and main were fine.
